About this Hybrid Strain

The award-winning strain Tangerine Dream is a sativa-dominant hybrid that’s renowned for its Tangerine flavor. Reviewers have noted this strain’s taste and scent are distinctively sweet citrus.

The cured nuggets of Tangerine Dream tend to look wispy but compact, with its long flowers and tan pistils covered in a thick layer of trichomes that lighten its tones.

THC levels can vary from the high teens to mid-20’s depending on cultivation and curing techniques used.

Dominant terpenes include myrcene, pinene, and limonene. Myrcene is renowned for its ability to help sedate and might contribute to the couch-lock effect. Pinene tends to have anti-inflammatory properties and can sometimes help with focus. Limonene has been associated with fighting symptoms of depression and anxiety as its fresh scent tends to sooth or calm.

Effects of Tangerine Dream have been described by consumers as increasing both energy and mood as pain throughout the body is lessened. As the high wears down, a subtle sleepiness may take its place or put you in a couch-lock according to fans of this strain.

History

The parents of Tangerine Dream are the indica G13, the indica Afghani, and the sativa Neville’s Haze. Others have stated that to create Tangerine Dream, one must cross-breed G13 with Neville’s A5 hash, then breed the resulting plant with G13 yet again – leaving out Afghani altogether.
