Is Hytiva legal?
Yes! Nevada legalized marijuana delivery as a business service in July 2017. Cannabis delivery companies must register each driver with the state and obtain delivery agent cards for them. Your Hytiva driver will show you this agent card on his/her lanyard upon delivery. There are various essential requirements for lawful operation and Hytiva actively works in compliance with all legislation. Rest assured your Hytiva marijuana delivery or pickup order is both from a legal source and delivered in a legal manner.
Where does Hytiva's cannabis come from?
Hytiva does not grow or manufacture cannabis products. Here at Hytiva, we partner with premium Las Vegas dispensaries to deliver their goods directly to you. Prices and products on our website remain the exact same as if you were shopping inside the dispensaries yourself. Because Nevada has the strictest quality control laws in the nation, everything sold on the website has been lab-tested to ensure the quality and safety of each strain and product.
Why does Hytiva have odd delivery hours? Why not 24/7?
Because Hytiva receives orders directly from Las Vegas dispensaries in real time, our operating hours must reflect their operating hours.
I'm a Las Vegas tourist, can I use Hytiva?
Yes! Though current law forbids us from delivering to hotels or casinos, for example, we can delivery to any private residence for recreational and medical users. If you are not staying at a private residence, you can still use Hytiva to reserve a pickup order. Once reserved, pick-up is in-and-out at your convenience at the dispensary you reserved your products at, allowing you to save time by skipping the lines. You can use our map to locate dispensaries near you.
I'm a Las Vegas tourist, what should I order?
Purchasing the flower of the plant offers the most variety of cannabinoid and terpene profiles, so you can explore or hand-pick the specific effect and/or flavor you desire. Flower has grown in popularity because of smokeless consumption devices like vape pens, but smoking it through a pipe or wrapped up as a blunt is still common. Edibles are favored by tourists because they’re most discreet and require no device for consumption. We recommend trying every type at least once to see which one fits your vacation experience.
Do I need Medical Marijuana Card?
No! Anyone older than 21 years of age, with a matching state ID or passport may purchase recreational cannabis, just like for alcohol purchases. However, there are perks to having a medical marijuana card, such as lower taxes, discounted prices, and the ability to use your card to buy cannabis in states that have cannabis reciprocity with Nevada.
Does Hytiva recommend that people obtain an MMJ card? Where to do this?
Hytiva doesn't provide consultation in this regard, however, you can apply for an MMJ card if you have a condition you believe could benefit from cannabis use. You can start the process of getting your card online, just search for "Nevada MMJ cards online".
I don't live in NV, can I still get an MMJ card?
Yes! Any of the MMJ card companies you find online should be able to accommodate out-of-state applicants. Whether or not your home state is a cannabis legal state is irrelevant.
Is the exact same cannabis available to recreational users as medical users?
Yes! The only difference is in price. Additional taxes are applied to recreational purchases. On Hytiva's ordering menu you will see a button to toggle between rec and medical that updates the prices.I'm a Las Vegas tourist, can I bring my cannabis back home with me legally?
Only if your home is in Nevada. State lines are federal lines and cannabis isn't federally legal. That means you couldn't even legally drive west to California, another cannabis legal state. And yes – flying is considered crossing federal borders as well. Brought cannabis to the airport on accident? No problem, the Las Vegas McCarran International Airport provides amnesty boxes to dispose of your cannabis before going through security.
So now that I've bought my cannabis, where can I consume it?
Current law states only in private residences, such as your home, your land, or that owned by friends or relatives. Hotels and casinos have strict operational laws to follow and therefore do not allow cannabis use.
How much cannabis can I order from Hytiva?
The amount you can order is the same as the law permits you to buy in person from a dispensary. Amounts vary depending on recreational vs medical and flower vs concentrate. Current legal amounts are 1 ounce of flower per day or 3,500 milligrams of THC in concentrate (oils, vape cartridges, etc.) at a time. This limits are proportional, so if you order 1/2 ounce of flower, you can only purchase 1,750 milligrams of THC in concentrate (half of the concentrate limit). For concentrates, 1 gram that contains 80% THC would count as 80 milligrams of your limit, not 100 milligrams.
How old must I be to order cannabis from Hytiva?
The age limit is 18 for medical use and 21 for recreational use according to Nevada state law. Your state ID or passport will be checked with each purchase, just like for alcohol purchases.
Can I drive around Las Vegas with my marijuana?
Yes, but treat cannabis similar to alcohol. Keep it in a sealed container while driving, away from you and minors. Open container laws apply to cannabis as well as driving while under the influence. Be responsible! Don’t drive high!
Can I pay with a credit card?
No. Legal marijuana sales are cash only due to federal laws controlling banking. Any delivery service in Nevada offering to accept credit, debit or PayPal as payment is not operating in accordance with federal laws.
What are Nevada’s current cannabis laws?
This infographic, provided by the state of Nevada, is a great place to start. Cannabis law is more complex than a simple legal/illegal clause. It’s a step-by-step process, certain aspects of the industry still prohibited while others have only recently gained legality. Here’s a couple of significant milestones in the industry’s legal expansion:
- In April of 2014 Medical marijuana use became legal. Medical marijuana reciprocity is enacted and out-of-state medical marijuana cards are to be honored in Nevada.
- In July of 2017 recreational cannabis becomes legal, luckily, along with cannabis delivery services with Hytiva leading the way.
- In February of 2017, proposed updates to the cannabis regulations were adopted by the state, and recreational marijuana delivery to private residences is now legal.
