About this Hybrid Strain

Although the history of the Super Silver OG cannabis strain remains debatable, many believe it was originally bred by Virgin Seeds out of California. It’s reputedly a cross between Super Silver Haze and OG Kush. The only thing everyone seems to agree on is that Super Silver Haze is one of the parent strains.

Super Silver Haze is a highly decorated sativa, winning the High Times Cannabis Cup three consecutive years in 1997, 1998, and 1999.

The Super Silver OG strain is one of the most visually orange strains available, appearing to be made up mostly of long fiery-orange pistils. Small patches appear lime-green due to the silver trichrome frost lightening its green leaves. Its heavy coat of silver trichomes make nuggets appear fuzzy.

Breaking the Super Silver OG nuggets apart releases the pleasant odors of fresh earth and pine. Smoking this strain amplifies the flavors of sweet and sour candy. The smoke is a bit harsh due in part to its potency and leaves a spicy-herb taste lingering afterwards.

Super Silver OG THC levels often fall between 16-24%. Its high is reputedly powerful and comes on quick, showing striking similarities to a psychedelic experience. Some experienced slight paranoia or fear as it happened, but it soon transformed into a calming sensation. This allowed reviewers to experience their muscles relaxing and a body-buzz becoming more pronounced. In this state a gentle touch had the potential to send waves of bliss radiating outward like a cat purring. It should come to no surprise that this strain has gained a reputation as a potent aphrodisiac. These waves of reported pleasure can also account for the analgesic effect consumers have also mentioned.
