Rafael
About this Sativa Strain
Also known as Raphael, the cannabis strain Rafael is a sativa that has high levels of CBDs, not THC. It derives its name from its healing properties – healing being associated with the angel Rafael. Others claim it’s named after Raphael Mechoulam, a prestigious name in cannabis research. Its buds are often brown and immense, covered in orange pistils. Its smell and taste are of fruit, particularly peaches.
Rafael was bred by Tikun Olam to have high CBD levels, particularly to help those that suffer from sleep and digestive disorders.
Its THC level is around 1%, with CBD levels of 18%. It’s used mainly in the medical world to treat digestive and sleep disorders, especially for those that don’t want the psychoactive effects of THC. When consumed, it remains easy to concentrate and focus and it won’t produce a couch-lock. However, it will remove all pain from the body providing the consumer with almost instant relief – numbing aches from head to toe.
No negative effects have been reported after consuming this strain.
