This high-CBD strain perfectly straddles the line between a sativa and indica (50% indica/50% sativa) cannabis plant. It generates small, fluffy buds with a light mint-green color and a moderate trichome coverage. Star Tonic exudes a strong lemony, piney scent, and when smoked it tastes much like it smells with the addition of that diesel skunky funk characteristic of the dankest strains.
Lab results put its cannabinoid content at 9% THC and 15% CBD. This is not a plant for recreational use; its designed for patients and beginner smokers.
Like most high-CBD strains, Star Tonic will bring on feelings of relaxation and calm. The lower THC ratio means paranoia, anxiety, or couch-lock that comes with most commercial strains won’t happen here. Rather, the CBD will counteract many of the undesired effects of the THC, providing a sensible, balanced high that should leave the patient functional and focused. It is suggested for regulating chronic pain, nausea, inflammation, cramps, insomnia, depression, and because of its high CBD content, it may work for treating spasms, convulsions, or seizure disorders.
Side effects from Star Tonic should be minimal, but some users may experience dry mouth or dry eyes with high doses.
