Hytiva's Review on Flak Jacket
Flak Jacket is an Archive Seed Bank release, a cross of GMO and Chem #91 crossed again with Face Off OG. Archive has a long reputation for loud, gassy, OG-forward genetics, and Flak Jacket is a clear example, the GMO and Chem #91 side stack the pungent, garlicky diesel funk, while Face Off OG grounds it with a heavy, resinous body, landing it as a slightly indica-dominant hybrid around 60% indica. It's a strain built for users who like their flower dank and fuel-heavy rather than sweet.
The buds run fluffy and airy olive green, threaded with thin orange hairs and rich golden undertones, and coated in chunky, golden-white crystal trichomes that give it a frosty finish. The aroma tells us a different story, It's a heavy potent gassy diesel overtone accented by sharp chemicals and dank herbs. The flavor runs sweet at times but mostly heavily herbal and dank, with notes of cheese, pine, spice, and wood rounding it out on the exhale.
The batch we reviewed tested over 25% THC with THCA sitting at 28% before decarb, plus an uncommon showing of the "mother cannabinoid," CBGA at 1.1% and a trace of CBG at 0.12%. That depth shows up in the smoke, which most people describe as a heavy, body-leaning settle — the kind of relaxation you recommended for once the day's work is done rather than something to start it with. Some users have used Flak Jacket to unwind or quiet things down at night, but at this strength a carefully measured doses goes a long way. And despite the gassy GMO funk on the nose, the terpene order surprises: limonene leads on this batch, with peppery beta-caryophyllene and earthy beta-myrcene behind it.
