Catfish is a pure sativa cannabis strain that won the 2014 High Times’ Michigan Medical Cannabis Cup for Best Sativa. Its harvest-ready buds are shaped like grapes, bright green with golden hues, and have a thin layer of frosty trichomes. Its scent is of diesel and fresh soil, having a slightly chemical-like taste.
The parent strains are currently a secret being kept by Catfish’s original breeder, Mindright – but it’s believed to have Kush genetics.
THC levels average between 15-19%. Its high starts out by causing the consumer to immediately feel euphoric with uplifted spirits as the stresses of the mind melt away. Creativity then kicks in and helps the mind come up with fun strategies to keep it occupied as focus enhances. Mild pain relief takes place throughout the body and fatigue is lifted away. The energy boost kicks in, making every task seem easily feasible.
Negative side-effects are few with Catfish, dry eyes and mouth being most common. It’s known that this strain very rarely causes paranoia or anxiety, a good note for novice consumers.
