Northern Lights #2 is an indica-dominant hybrid that sprouts wide, chunky nuggets with large calyxes, long leaves, and a blanket of white trichomes and winding orange hairs. The buds from this cannabis plant smell piney and earthy, like the deepest recesses of a forest after a long rain, and the flavor of the smoke is not too far off from the aroma.

If you do get your hands on this phenotype, anticipate many of the same experiences you’d find with a traditional cut of Northern Lights: a heavy, sedated high with a penetrating focus. That’s because this particular phenotype was, several years ago, bred with Northern Lights #5 to produce the more common version of commercially available “Northern Lights” we find in dispensaries and retail stores today.
