Blockhead

The brownish, purplish buds generated by this cannabis plant tend to be big and leafy. Blockhead, possibly named such due to its stupefying high, is an indica-dominant (85% indica/15% sativa) hybrid that emanates the rich, moist scents of a pine tree forest.

Its smoke leaves a spicy aftertaste with some confectionary qualities.

THC tests relatively high between 17-23%, making this a better strain for cannabis vets rather than something for first-timers. The initial rush starts off strong in the head, then eases its way into the body for a tingly, undulating effect. Even smaller doses can lead to a quick couch-lock, so be sure the schedule is cleared for the day before partaking in this particular strain. It’s got a sedative effect that will lead a smoker to a land of happy thoughts, but its potent heady powers may obstruct attempts at being social.

Side effects involve the usual culprits: cottonmouth and dry, irritated eyes. Inexperienced users may feel a little lightheaded or anxious, so start them off with small amounts.

Like any good indica, Blockhead works really well for sea-of-green grows. Its short flowering times (50 to 70 days) and high yields make it an excellent cash crop for beginner or experienced growers, too.

Its genetics are unclear, but breeders suspect one of its parents is none other than Sweet Tooth.
