Taste & Smell
Sobre esta variedade de Indica
These oblong, spongy buds from Starbud are caked in glistening trichomes, like little oily stars packed with cannabinoid goodness. They smell a bit like black peppers rolled in sugar, and when burned these indica-dominant buds (75% indica/25% sativa) taste like cracked black peppers and honey. In 2009, this strain took the Best Indica title at ICMag’s 420 Cup. In 2011, Starbud also won at the High Times Cannabis Cup’s Indica Cup.
Lab tests place its potency at 14-20% THC, meaning it tends to be slightly higher than the average.
The buzz from Starbud starts in the head, getting the senses cloudy and the thoughts foggy, then it melts straight into the body for a heavy couch-lock effect. This strain is recommended for managing chronic and traumatic pain, inflammation, fibromyalgia, multiple sclerosis, insomnia, restlessness, and lack of appetite. It is suggested for evening or nighttime use, though experienced smokers may be able to handle it in the day time.
The most common side effect from Starbud is dizziness, though some users may experience dry mouth or anxiety, too.
Bred by HortiLab, Starbud’s genetics are unknown.
